Passion Versus Procrastination
I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with my life, or how to go about doing it. I procrastinated because I was not passionate about it. I blamed my own procrastination on my own failures. The truth is that without the passion, I knew that I was going to fail regardless. This is what I did to help me with my success, and you can also use this to help you with your own success.
Find out what your passionate about. It doesn't matter what it is, as long as it's what drives you to keep going in that direction. You can not rely on your dreams while you are sleeping, because that is fantasy. You must rely on your dreams while you are awake, because that is more doable.
OK, now find a nice, peaceful, quiet place to sit and relax. So you can only hear your own thoughts. Fold your arms and look off into the distance, but don't focus on anything. Now imagine yourself in 5 years. Some people ask, where do you want to be in 5 years? But it doesn't matter where you are. It matters what you are doing in your life in 5 years. The where you are part, will take care of it's self.
Imagine yourself in a situation that you are actually enjoying yourself and enjoying what you are doing. Take as much time as you need to explore this thought. Relax and go as far as this thought is willing to take you. Whatever it is that puts a smile on your face, write it down so you don't forget it. Do not worry about leaving other goals behind. Concentrate on the one that you are passionate about. It is the only thing that matters. No other goals matter. Only your passion.
